ELECTIONS

Sec. 7-1  Wards Designated.

            The City is divided into five wards, as follows:

     (a)   The first ward shall include all that part of the city lying north of the cen­ter line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way, east of the east line of Washington Street and south of 13th Street.

     (b)   The second ward shall include all that part of the city lying north of 13th Street and east of Adams Street.

     (c)   The third ward shall include all that part of the city lying west of Adams Street and north of the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way.

     (d)   The fourth ward shall include all that part of the city lying north of the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way, west of Washington Street and east of Adams Street, and south of 13th Street.

     (e)   The fifth ward shall include that part of the city lying south of the center line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way.  (Mun. Code Sec. 1-501; Ord. No. 1225, Sec. 1)

 

Sec. 7-2  Voting Districts.

            The number and boundaries of voting districts shall be the same as for the wards shown in Section 7-1.  (Mun. Code, Sec. 1-402)

 

Sec. 7-3  Repealed by Ord. No. 1716.

 

Sec. 7-4  Municipal Elections.

            The City of Lexington, Nebraska shall hold its municipal election for the year 1980 and all succeeding municipal elections on the date of the statewide primary elec­tion for the State of Nebraska.  Such elections shall be held in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 32 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes.  (Ord.
